Loropetalum chinese 'Plum Delight' is a fast growing shrub that can reach 12' high and 6'-8' wide. It is upright and spreading, usually wider than high, with long arching branches. New leaf growth is green with pink accents. Flowers are very showy, with 4 narrow fringe-like pink petals, clustered at the branch tips to form pom-poms. It blooms heavily in spring with sporadic blooms throughout the year. This plant needs well-drained, moist soil and full to partial sun.
Planting: 1. Dig a hole 1" less the depth and 2 times the width of the container. 2. Fill hole with water, let soak. 3. Set root ball in hole. 4. Fill hole halfway with native soil and water. 5. Finish back filling hole, build basin and water.
