Phlox subulata 'Apple Blossom' is a perennial. It has stiffish, 1/2", needle-like, evergreen to semi-evergreen leaves on creeping stems; it forms a mat to 6" high. It blooms late spring or early summer, with 3/4" wide flowers that range in color from white through pink to rose and lavender blue.
Planting: 1. Dig a hole 1" less the depth and 2 times the width of the container. 2. Fill hole with water, let soak. 3. Set root ball in hole. 4. Fill hole halfway with native soil and water. 5. Finish back filling hole, build basin and water.
